The Youth Anti-Violence Forum will employ a
task force built of representatives of
diverse groups who will work toward
increasing our youth’s awareness on the
issue of violence beginning in March ‘09.
The Youth Anti-Violence Essay Contest, which
began Dec. 15, 2008, asked students ages
11-17 to submit Anti-Violence essays, poetry
and artwork representing the topics of
anti-violence and teen driver safety. Nine
winners will be selected on March 30th 2009
at 6pm at the law offices of Kilpatrick
Stockton. Winners will receive scholarships
to go toward school expenses along with
monetary awards.
Youth Golf - April 17, 2010
One of the extraordinary outreach programs
offered by the RCF serving 25 of Atlanta’s
Youth with a motivational speaker, kids’
golf clinic with golf pros, 9 hole golf
experience and an award reception. RCF
partners an adult mentor with a foursome in
an effort to allow some of Atlanta’s youth
to have hours with some of Atlanta’s finest
with the goal of “Empowering Leaders of
Tomorrow”.
Father Daughter Dance - June 20, 2010
This is the foundation’s annual gala event
celebrating the bond between fathers and
daughters. Held on Father’s Day, this
elegant affair allows daughters as young as
2 years of age to be treated like ladies by
their dads. It’s a day neither father or
daughter will soon forget, because only the
best will do for “daddy’s little girl.”
Youth Health Fair
RCF provides incentive focused workshops
such as diabetes awareness, childhood
obesity, seminars, risk factors connected
with diabetes, healthy lifestyle and cooking
instruction. Free testing such as diabetes
testing, blood pressure screening, high
cholesterol screening, BMI (Body Mass Index)
and blood glucose screening is provided.
This event is for the entire family however,
we are looking to make a difference in our
youth now so it will target our youth but
not exclusively.
Thanksgiving Night Celebrity Bowling
Celebrating the true meaning of the holiday,
this fundraiser is in its 19th year. 100 %
of the funds raised this year will benefit
the Ryan Cameron Foundation to continue its
programs.
