Ryan Cameron is the voice behind Atlanta’s number one afternoon drive time slot on Atlanta’s Heritage Station V-103 where he speaks to hundreds of thousands of people every weekday. His versatile personality has sustained him in the media arena for nearly 20 years providing him with other acclaimed successes. In addition to his radio duties, he currently hosts his own show, Ryan Cameron: Uncensored on the Starz InBlack Television Network and is the first African American public address announcer in the history of the NBA franchise, Atlanta Hawks.

To many of his fans there’s little mystery about the man behind the microphone as Ryan does numerous local appearances that keep him connected to his fans and the community. He has brought fun and humor to the Atlanta community in featured movies where he has had an essential role including Drumline and Stomp the Yard as well as acclaimed Broadway director Kenny Leon’s stage production of Fences.

Ryan has been a staunch supporter of Atlanta’s communities for more than 15 years leading him to form the Ryan Cameron Foundation (RCF), a not-for-profit 501(C)(3) recognized by the IRS, to better organize his outreach efforts. His long standing relationships and programs continue to benefit the community year after year. The establishment of the RCF helps provide Atlanta’s youth with tools of empowerment, preparing them for their future roles as leaders. Some of these tools include: mentoring, tutoring, volunteering, business etiquette, self-reflection, leadership instruction and life skills. Since its inception, the RCF has awarded grants to over 40 non-profit organizations and scholarships to six (6) students.

The Leadership Academy is a life-changing program that focuses on academic development and life skills that will enable our young people to transition successfully through high school and into college or vocational training.

Disney on Ice partnered with the Foundation during its Princess Wishes tour to provide 10 Atlanta girls and their dads a royal experience with a Tea and Skate Party at Philips Arena. The enthusiasm of the young ladies fortunate enough to have this experience will be a memory that will last a lifetime. The Atlanta Hawks Foundation continues to be a stalwart supporter of the RCF making it possible for the foundation to provide hundreds of game tickets to local youth based organizations. Through the Foundation’s relationship with Washington Mutual, a generous gift of $50,000 was awarded to 60 elementary schools in Georgia, continuing our mission of providing Atlanta metropolitan area youth with the tools needed to become future leaders.
